The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 34 new positive coronavirus cases around its five-county district Thursday.
Ten of those cases were reported in Caldwell County. All of the cases are recovering at home and include 8 males and 2 females, ages 18 to 59-years old.
Elsewhere around the district, 9 new COVID cases were reported in Lyon County, along with 7 new cases in Trigg County, 5 new cases, including one hospitalization in Livingston County, and 3 new cases in Crittenden County.
Statewide, Governor Andy Beshear announced 2,625 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 50 new deaths related to the virus. The positivity rate fell to 8.67% on Thursday.
