Caldwell County Reports 17 New COVID Cases Tuesday

The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 64 new positive coronavirus cases around its five-county district Tuesday.
Twenty-two of the cases is in Caldwell County. All of the cases are recovering at home and include nine males and eight females, ages 4 to 88-years old. Seven of the cases are 18 and under.
Since Friday, according to the health department, Caldwell County has reported a total of 39 new cases.
Elsewhere around the district, fourteen new cases each were reported in Crittenden and Trigg counties, along with thirteen new cases in Lyon County and six new cases in Livingston County.
Statewide, Governor Andy Beshear announced 2,358 new COVID cases and 34 new deaths related to the virus on Tuesday. The state’s positivity rate fell to 8.12%.
