14 Additional New COVID Cases Reported In Caldwell County Wednesday

Fourteen new positive coronavirus cases were reported in Caldwell County Wednesday, bringing the total number of new cases in the county since Friday to 53.
According to the Pennyrile District Health Department, the latest cases in Caldwell County are all isolated at home and involve 7 males and 7 females ages 6 to 79-years old. Two of the cases are 18 and under.
Since Friday, the health department has reported a total of 53 new positive cases in Caldwell County along with a COVID-related death of a 43-year old male on September 24. Twenty-two of the total positive cases were confirmed from Friday to Monday, followed by 17 additional positive cases on Tuesday and 14 positive cases on Wednesday.
Elsewhere around the district on Wednesday, the health department reported 15 new positive COVID-19 cases in Trigg County, along with 9 new cases in Crittenden County, and 3 new cases each in Livingston and Lyon counties.
Statewide, Governor Andy Beshear announced 2,380 new COVID cases and 26 new deaths on Wednesday. The state’s positive rate is at 8.00%, down from 9.11% on Wednesday, October 6.
