Autopsy Results Released in Trigg Murder Case

An autopsy conducted by the state medical examiner’s office has determined the cause of death of a Cadiz woman found dead at her home following a police pursuit that resulted in an Illinois man being charged with her murder.
Kentucky State Police say an autopsy was conducted on Mary V. Dullenty at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Louisville. Her cause of death was declared to be blunt force trauma.
48-year-old Harold Floyd Jett of Taylorville, Illinois was arrested Thursday after a police pursuit ended at a Hilltop Street residence just outside Cadiz. Kentucky State Police charged with murder and second-degree burglary.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Department had responded to a disturbance on the South Road earlier in the day where Jett is accused of shooting a vehicle during an altercation.
Jett led police on a high-speed chase that ended at Dullenty’s Hilltop Street home. At some point, police say Jett assaulted Dullenty before he was arrested. She was taken to Trigg County Hospital where she later died.
The sheriff’s department also charged Jett with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment, speeding, and first-degree fleeing police.
He was lodged in the Christian County Jail under no bond.
