Caldwell County Reports Eight New COVID Cases Tuesday


While three of the counties that make up the Pennyrile District Health Department are still in the red on the state’s incidence rate map as of Tuesday, the number of new daily cases is continuing on a downward trend in the district.
The health department announced a total of 15 new COVID-19 cases in its five-county district on Tuesday. Of the new cases, eight were reported in Caldwell County. All of the cases are recovering at home and involve 6 males and 2 females ranging in age from 17 to 47-years old.
According to the health department, 3 new COVID cases were reported in Crittenden County, along with 2 new cases in Trigg County and one new case each in Livingston and Lyon counties.
As of Tuesday, Kentucky’s COVID incidence rate map showed Caldwell, Crittenden and Trigg counties remain in the red, or high community spread rate, while Lyon and Livingston are in the orange group with a substantial community spread rate of the virus.
