Two COVID-Related Deaths Reported In Caldwell County


The Pennyrile District Health Department announced Friday four new COVID-related deaths around its five-county district.
Two of the deaths were reported in Caldwell County — a 58-year old female on September 30th and a 77-year old female on October 26. The other deaths connected to the virus included a 69-year old male in Trigg County on October 17th and an 81-year old male in Livingston County on October 5th.
The health department also reported 36 total new coronavirus cases around its district were confirmed on Wednesday and Thursday. Nine of those were in Caldwell County and include five females and four males ages 7 to 75-years old. All of the cases are recovering at home.
In addition, the health department’s COVID-19 case summary as of Thursday morning showed a total of 65 cases in Caldwell County including four hospitalizations. Since the pandemic began, 2,239 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Caldwell County, 2,128 cases have recovered and 46 deaths have been linked to the virus.
There were six total new COVID cases reported in Lyon County on Wednesday and Thursday. According to the summary, Lyon County’s total current COVID cases is at 28 bringing the total confirmed cases in the county to 2,026 with 1,972 recoveries and 26 deaths since the onset of the virus.
