Caldwell County Reports 11 New COVID Cases Since Friday


The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 43 new coronavirus cases around its five-county district from Friday to Monday.
According to the health department, eleven of those new cases were reported in Caldwell County. Five people tested positive on Friday along with six on Monday. The latest positive cases include seven males and four females ranging in age from 12 to 62 years-old. Three of those cases are 18 and under.
Elsewhere around the district, 22 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Trigg County during the same time period, along with six cases in Crittenden County, three cases in Lyon County, and one new case in Livingston County.
As of Monday, the state’s incidence rate map shows Caldwell County and Trigg County remain in the red while Crittenden and Livingston are in the orange with a substantial spread rate of COVID-19 and Livingston County has fallen in the yellow.
