In just a few months on the job, Caldwell County Animal Shelter Director Jamie Whalen has worked to make life more comfortable for between 15 and 20 dogs that inhabit the shelter daily.
Whalen said a Caldwell County man has donated his time to help erect an improved fencing system outside of the shelter for the dogs.
