Gather On Main Community Thanksgiving Meal Thursday

A local restaurant in Princeton is once again offering a free community Thanksgiving meal for those in need.
Cathy Lewis, owner of Gather on Main and Taco John’s in Princeton, says this year community members will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal by dining inside the restaurant, which was something they couldn’t do last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, Lewis says they will also have carry-out Thanksgiving meals. She notes those who are picking up a meal can pull up to the curb in front of Gather on Main and wait for someone to come out to get a count of how many meals are needed. She says there is no need for you to get out of your vehicle they will come to you. If someone is already at the curb, Lewis says you can pull in behind them and pull forward after the vehicle in front of you is served.
And if you are unable to dine-in or pick up a carry-out meal, Lewis says someone can pick up a Thanksgiving meal and bring it to you. However, she says they cannot guarantee they will have enough volunteers to deliver meals so if you have a neighbor in need that can’t get out, feel free to help by coming to the restaurant to pick up their meal for them.
Lewis says the Thanksgiving meal is free and there are no eligibility requirements to meet. She adds Gather on Main will not have Thanksgiving meals for sale on Thursday because they are saving all of their seats and food for those in need. The meal will be served from 11:00 until 3:00 Thursday.
Gather on Main is located at 106 East Main Street in the heart of downtown Princeton. If you have any further questions, call (270) 963-0736.
