Applications and Donations Being Accepted for David Scott Memorial Toy Drive

Community members are being encouraged to help children who are less fortunate this Christmas by participating in the annual David Scott Memorial Toy Drive through the Princeton Police Department.
Police Chief Chris King says that the program, which relies fully on donations from the community, was able to provide gifts to 75 families in 2019 and exceeded 100 last year. He says registration to receive toys from this year’s toy drive will begin Thursday.

In 2006, Scott was off duty and on his way to help with the toy drive when he was involved in a fatal traffic crash. Then-Mayor Vickie Hughes renamed the toy drive in his honor.
Toys collected this year as part of the annual David Scott Memorial Toy Drive will be given out on Saturday, December 18.
