Funding Approved For Greenhouse Projects At Caldwell County High School

The Caldwell County Board of Education has been approved for $22,000 for agriculture-related projects. The funding is a portion of $547,124 approved by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board for agricultural diversification and rural development projects across the commonwealth.
According to state officials, the funding for the Caldwell County Board of Education is for greenhouse materials to expand, update, and replace parts of the greenhouse at the high school.
State Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles says the investments by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board will strengthen the state’s food supply system, improve on-farm water management practices, diversify farm operations, and encourage young people to consider agriculture as a vocation.
