Dawson Road

Officials with Caldwell County announced Tuesday evening that pickup of storm debris will begin soon on county roads.
County residents who need help getting debris to the edge of the road should call (270) 963-3561 or (270) 963-3598. Officials say there are lots of volunteers with the appropriate equipment who are ready to help. Residents are asked to try to separate debris into a tree pile and construction demolition pile.
District 4 Magistrate Jeff Simms also announced Tuesday evening that a 20 yard roll off has bern placed at Lewistown Church Road along with a 30 yard roll off in close proximity of the silos between Board  and Byrd Roads for U.S. 62 East/Dawson Road residents and all county roads toward Dawson.
He says these roll offs are for household trash and refrigerator/freezer contents. He adds no batteries, refrigerators, air conditioners, cylinders, chemicals, tires, household cleaners, paint, etc. should be discarded in these roll offs.
In addition, county officials say a burn site for vegetation (trees) is ready for use. The burn site is located behind the grain bins on Dawson Road between Board and Byrd roads.
