Timothy Copple/Webster County Jail mugshot

A traffic stop of a Providence man on a moped landed him behind bars after police say they found him in possession of meth.
Providence Police Officer Eric Elder stopped a moped with no tail lights Friday night shortly before 10:00. Officer Elder and Officer Jay Riley Edwards reported the driver, 37-year old Timothy Copple, had a loaded syringe hanging out of his pocket along with a suspected bag of meth found inside his pocket.
Copple was taken into custody and lodged in the Webster County Jail charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, along with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and other offenses.
