Damage in Hopkinsville was caused by a possible spin-up tornado that occurred shortly before 9:30 on New Year’s Day.
Weather Edge Forecaster David Powell, who also serves as the Christian County Weather Spotter Coordinator, says the likely tornado came out of a storm system that passing across the area at the time.
