Community Invited To Celebrate the Life And Legacy Of Rev. MLK, Jr. On Monday

The community is invited to come hear the inspiring words of Princeton native, Dr. Chris George, and others as we celebrate the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 17.
Princeton City Councilwoman Pat George says this year’s celebration will be a little different and said the brickwork was laid this summer with students submitting essays and artwork from elementary school students.

She said we saw destructive tornadoes on December 10 across west Kentucky but we also saw unity and diversity come together.

George says the program will include her son, Chris George, as the keynote speaker, along with local leaders.

Youth Minister Brandon Sigler with Christ Tabernacle says he believes Dr. King is a great man but his message was greater.

He says Christ Tabernacle will be offering free box lunches.

George says this year’s program theme is “We Have A Dream”. The MLK Jr. community program will be held Monday, January 17, at noon at Central Presbyterian Church located at 206 West Main Street in Princeton.
