A Kuttawa man and Dawson Springs woman were arrested on felony warrants in Eddyville Thursday evening.
According to a Lyon County Sheriff’s report, 48-year old Samuel D. Ritter was taken into custody at a business on Broadway Street around 5:45 p.m. on a Lyon Circuit Court Indictment Warrant charging him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
During his arrest, the report says Deputy Keith Suits and a Kentucky State Police trooper observed 40-year old Melissa L. Appleby attempting to hide from officers. She was taken into custody on a Lyon Circuit Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear. She was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over two grams of meth, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Ritter and Appleby were lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
