Man Charged In Caldwell County With Possessing Meth, Marijuana


A Crittenden County man arrested on a warrant was also charged with possessing marijuana and meth after a traffic stop in Caldwell County Monday night.
According to Caldwell County Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Noel, Deputy Evan Head stopped a vehicle driven by 42-year old William McCann, of Marion, shortly before 6:20 p.m. at Old Mexico Road and KY 91 North.
Deputy Head said McCann was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear out of Caldwell County. After an investigation during the traffic stop, the deputy said McCann was also charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCann was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
Deputy Chad Hawkins assisted Deputy Head on the scene.
