State police say a Marion man has been charged with murder after he shot his father in Crittenden County Monday morning.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Trooper Brandon McPherson reports the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department contacted Post 2 in Madisonville shortly before 9:30 a.m. to investigate a shooting at 3663 Blackburn Church Road.
He says a preliminary investigation revealed that 37-year old Timothy Paris called his brother and told him he had shot his father, Jerry Paris. The brother then called 911 and the sheriff’s department and Trooper Darron Holliman arrived on the scene and found Jerry Paris deceased from gunshot wounds.
Timothy Paris was arrested and charged with murder. He is lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
The investigation continues by KSP Detective Billy Over.
