UPDATE: AMBER Alert Cancelled, Child and Suspect Found


A father accused of abducting his daughter is facing kidnapping and other charges after she was found safe and he was taken into custody in Livingston County Friday night.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports 32-year old Corey Cowen was charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of custodial interference, one count of assault 4th degree, and one count of possession of marijuana. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
State police issued an AMBER Alert for 8-year old Raelynn Cowen Friday evening after her father, Corey, reportedly abducted her from a bus stop on US 60 West near Ledbetter and assaulted the girl’s grandparent. Police said the father did not have custody of his child.

Kentucky State Police says the child and suspect have been located. The AMBER Alert has been cancelled.

Kentucky State Police has issued an AMBER Alert for an 8-year old child who was reportedly abducted by her noncustodial father in Livingston County.
According to police,  8-year old Raelynn Cowen was abducted from 1266 US 60 West near Ledbetter. Police say 32-year old Corey Cowen abducted his daughter from a bus stop after he assaulted the child’s grandparent.
Cowen was last seen in a 2001 Gold Chevy C25 with a Kentucky license plate A9B240. The truck also has a silver toolbox in the bed.
Police say Cowen is possibly en route to Paducah.

Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies and state police are searching for a child who was reportedly abducted by her non-custodial father near Ledbetter.
According to the sheriff’s office, 8-year old Raelynn Cowen was abducted by her father 32-year old Corey Cowen, who does not have custody of his child.
Authorities say they were last seen headed west on US 60 from Ledbetter in a two-wheel drive, crew cab, pewter/gold 2001 Chevrolet Silverado with Kentucky registration A9B240.
