
As part of a two-day drug round-up, another Kuttawa man was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine in Lyon County.
According to Lyon County Sheriff Brent White, 41-year old Joseph M. Gillaspie was arrested by Chief Deputy Sam Adams and Deputy Dennis Beckett around 11:30 Wednesday morning and charged on sealed indictment warrants from Lyon Circuit Court as part of an investigation.
Gillaspie was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance greater than 2 grams of meth, 1st offense by complicity. Sheriff White says in December 2021 and January of 2022, Gillaspie sold in excess of 60 grams of meth in Kuttawa on two occasions during an undercover investigation. The meth was seized by deputies and task force agents.
In addition, Gillaspie was reportedly found in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia by Sheriff White and Chief Deputy Adams in an unrelated investigation on February 24, 2022. He was additionally charged with one count each of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, 1st offense – meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gillaspie was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
