Following recent confusion, speculation and social media attention, Caldwell Co Sportsman’s Club President Adam Cruzen visited “Coffee Talk with Tess” and gave us all the updated information we need regarding the Jones-Keeney Gun Range. He explains why the range is closed to the public, how much damage the December tornado did and the role it played in the range closing, who is in charge and makes decisions on opening, the state and US Forestry’s roles, are there plans to repair and just how important those repairs are to keep the WMA safe for the public as well. The range has now added archery and 3-D targets to its list, and Cruzen talks which targets are legal and what the upgrades will mean, 4-H and how the club plans to pay for the necessary equipment.
