A Powderly man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly gave officers false identifying information following a non-injury collision in Princeton.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers responded to the collision on Marion Road northbound ramp of Interstate 69 around 2:00 Sunday afternoon.
According to the report, officers made contact with 34-year old Bobby L. Collins, Jr. and 33-year old Kari J. Collins, of Dawson Springs, who were involved in the wreck. Officers say a records check indicated that Kari Collins was a petitioner for a protective order with Bobby Collins as the respondent. Officers indicate Bobby Collins gave officers someone else’s identifying information with police investigating to find out his real identity.
Police say Bobby Collins was taken into custody and charged with violation of a Kentucky Domestic Violence Order and Theft of Identity without consent. Kara Collins was issued a citation for facilitation of Violation of a Kentucky Domestic Violence Order.
