Caldwell Clerk Hoping For 40% Turnout For Primary Election


You still have time to cast your vote in the Primary Election as the polls remain open until 6:00 tonight.
Caldwell County Clerk Toni Watson tells the News Edge her office sent out 121 absentee ballots. She says 661 people cast their ballots during early voting in Caldwell.
Watson says she is hoping for a 40% turnout for the Primary Election.
The Fredonia, Donaldson and Bucksnort precincts will be open until 6:00 this evening. Watson reminds registered voters the Donaldson Precinct will vote in the basement at Donaldson Baptist Church in Farmersville, while the Fredonia Precinct will vote at the Fredonia Lyon’s Club in Fredonia, and Bucksnort Precinct voting will be at Crossroads Christian Church. All precinct locations are handicap accessible.
Watson says voters in the other ten precincts will all vote at the Caldwell County Voting Center inside the Caldwell County Courthouse basement and 1st floor until 6:00.
WPKY 103.3 FM will provide live coverage of the election results beginning at 6:00.
