Beloved Caldwell Teacher To Be Laid To Rest Thursday

A well-known community member and beloved teacher at Caldwell County High School will be laid to rest Thursday afternoon.
According to Morgan’s Funeral Home, 48-year old Wes York passed away Saturday evening. His professional career as a teacher spans 26-years — four years in Hampton, Arkansas, and 22 years at Caldwell County School. He simultaneously served as a school bus driver on a daily route and for extracurricular events and outings.
York received the 2016 National Ag Teacher of the Year award among his personal awards and accolades of his career.
He also served as an elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fredonia and a Sunda School teacher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Thursday afternoon at the C.A.B. building at Caldwell County High School.
York is survived by his wife of 24-years, Nikel York, and two daughters Hannah York Feagan and Kylie York, along with several other relatives
