
Seven members of the Princeton Rotary Club recently attended the District 6710 Conference in Owensboro and garnered several awards for the 2021-22 Rotary year.
According to the local Rotary Club, they received the Division II (21-40 members) Best Youth Service Project for their Build-a-Bed project that is ongoing; and Best Community Service Project for their “Thank You” luncheons for local first responders and local utility workers. The local club placed third in the District’s Membership Challenge and was presented with a check for $500 to go toward a project. The Princeton Optimist Club also received the designation of “Club of Distinction” for District 6710.

The seven members that attended the District 6710 Conference were Al Brunelle, Pam Brunelle, Karen Burris, Roy Burris, Gale Cherry, Geneva Malone, and JD Wilson. Gale Cherry and Geneva Malone presented a session on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion while Al Brunelle was a panel participant who discussed the December tornado and disaster relief.
In addition, the club contributed a basket for the silent auction that included items from Service Plus, Newsom’s, and Devil’s Keep.
