Board Approves Revised BG-1 for Elementary School Renovation


The Caldwell County school board approved a revised BG-1 for the elementary school renovation project during a special called meeting Wednesday night.
Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach explained the revision to the BG-1 includes the bond sales in the total cost of the renovation project.

Dr. Roach also presented the Superintendent Capstone which is a road map to certification for superintendent training. Roach pointed out what he has completed or is in the process of completing for each of the Capstone Topics: Professional Growth Plan, Standard Insurance Leadership, Cultural Leadership, Human Resource Leadership, Managerial Leadership, Collaborative Leadership, and Influential Leadership.
Dr. Roach also gave an overview of his priorities and focus going into next year. His first focus point is re-engaging students and staff after COVID.


click to download audioAdditionally, he said they will continue to focus on facility upgrades, safety procedures, and monitoring curriculum and instruction.


click to download audioDr. Roach said despite some difficult times for students and staff during the past school year, he thinks it was a succesful year overall.


click to download audioAfter being out of the district for 21 days to complete the superintendent training program, Dr. Roach will receive his official certification on July 27th in Louisville.
The school board will meet in regular session Monday night at 6:00 in the Butler Alumni Auditorium.
