Caldwell School Board Approves Non-resident Student Policy


The Caldwell County school board approved a new policy that will allow non-resident students to enroll to attend school in the district at Monday night’s meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach explained to the board the emergency reading of the nonresident student policy was in response to House Bill 563 passed the previous year that goes into effect July 1st.

In other action, the board approved a change order for wrap-around door frames for the elementary school renovation project after Roach explained the architect believes the HVAC closet door frames that were in the initial quote will be available at a cost of around $8,200.


click to download audioHe also noted the timeframe for the elementary construction project is on track.
The board also approved the first monthly payment to Pinnacle, Inc. in the amount of approximately $119,383 for material and labor.
