If you’re looking for something fun to do this summer, officials with Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park have announced they still have spots available for their Moonlight Canoe and Kayak trips on July 16th and August 13th from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. They say the price is $30 per person to rent their boats or $15 per person to bring your own.
According to officials, the first hour of the trip is a guided flatwater tour around Pennyrile Lake where you will learn nature facts and some of the park’s history. In the second hour, you get to cruise around the lake at your own pace enjoying the moonlight and the stars.
To begin your registration, send an email with your name, number in your party, and amount of canoes (2 seats) or kayaks (1 seat) you will need to haley.joseph@ky.gov. Spots are limited, so you need to sign up soon.
