Two men were indicted by a Christian County grand jury Friday in connection to a burglary and assault that occurred at a Hopkinsville apartment in May.
A true bill was returned on 26-year old Andrew Paul Ferguson of Marion for first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault and 25-year old Jessie James Williams III of Crofton was indicted on charges of first-degree complicity to burglary, and fourth-degree complicity to assault – dating violence.
The charges are from May 19, 2022, when Hopkinsville Police reported Ferguson, Williams and a juvenile forced their way into a woman’s apartment on North Elm Street and assaulted her and her nephew before leaving. The suspects were taken into custody after they were located on Center Street. Police said Williams drove Ferguson and the juvenile to the apartment to assault the victims.
Both men remain lodged in the Christian County Jail.
