Those showers and storms that looked so promising early today, quickly eroded away when it came in contact with a layer of warm air, also known as a cap, over the area. An upper level disturbance will come diving into our region tomorrow morning, hopefully breaking the cap, and bring clouds and rounds of rain and storms for much of the day Sunday. There should be widespread coverage of showers and storms during the daylight hours across the entire region. A few rumbles of thunder are possible but heavy rain would be the main threat with any stronger showers and storms overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

This appears to be the best rain chances we have seen in a good while with rainfall totals from late tonight through Monday evening ranging from 1 to 2 inches, with locally high amounts possible. Chances will then slowly decrease Monday evening as the frontal boundary and upper disturbance move through. Dry conditions return by late Monday night. Tuesday and Wednesday will see the return of high heat and humidity concerns once again.

A Thought: As we go through life, It’s not so much the journey we take that’s important; as it is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way. Get to know those you meet. You learn to like someone when you find out what makes them laugh, but you can never truly love someone until you find out what makes them cry. Just so you all know, when I’m sad, I sing. Then I realize my voice is worse than my problems…and all the dogs did howl…boy do they howl…
