Caldwell County Fiscal Court approved flex funds for paving projects and authorized the county to advertise for bids to purchase two cardiac monitors for the new ambulance during Tuesday morning’s meeting.
Judge Pro Tem Brent Stallins presided over the meeting in the absence of Judge-Executive Larry Curling and asked for a motion to approve flex funds from the Kentucky Transportation Department in the amount of $103,090. He says the funds will go to pave a portion of four roads in the county. The motion was approved unanimously with District 4 Magistrate Jeff Simms absent from the meeting.
Magistrates also authorized the county to advertise for bids after Caldwell EMS Director Mark Harrison explained the request is for two new cardiac monitors to go in the ambulances. Due to the cost of new cardiac monitors, Harrison said he is recommending they look at bids for refurbished and recertified units that are half-price.
