Princeton Child Flown To Hospital After Collision

A child was flown to a Nashville hospital after she was hit while riding a bicycle in Princeton Tuesday afternoon.
According to Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers responded to the intersection of West Washington and Good streets for a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle shortly after 5:00.
Allison says an investigation revealed 47-year old Jodi J. Cearlock of Princeton was traveling east on West Washington Street when a child, identified as 8-year old Kaylee Taylor of Princeton, darted out in front of Cearlock. He indicates Taylor was on a bicycle traveling south on the Good Street sidewalk attempting to cross West Washington when she was hit by the front of the Cearlock’s vehicle.
Assistant Chief Allison says Taylor was treated on the scene by Caldwell County EMS and transported to Caldwell County Medical Center. She was later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for what police say were apparent non-life threatening injuries.
