Voting is underway in Caldwell County and across the commonwealth for the general election.
Registered voters in Caldwell County can cast ballots at the Fredonia, Donaldson and Bucksnort precincts with all other precincts to cast ballots at the voting center at the Caldwell County Courthouse.
After a good turnout for early no-excuse voting with more than 1,500 casting ballots, County Clerk Toni Watson said Monday at the fiscal court meeting that the county may have a 50% turnout for the general election.
As of midday, the Caldwell County Clerk’s Office told the News Edge 1,835 people had cast ballots today with no issues reported at any of the precincts.
