A Princeton man was taken to the hospital after he was injured in a fatal wreck in Barren County Tuesday.
Kentucky State Police Post 3 responded to a wreck near the 6700 block of KY 90/Burkesville Road around 8:30 Tuesday morning after receiving a request from the Barren County Sheriff’s Office to investigate an injury collision.
According to state police, a preliminary investigation revealed that 44-year old Heather Slater, of Edmonton, was driving a van westbound on Burkesville Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and hit an eastbound SUV driven by 43-year old Michael Forsythe, of Princeton. Police said Slater’s van continued on and struck a third vehicle operated by 62-year old Timothy Jackson of Winneconne, Wisconsin, who was also traveling eastbound.
State police said the front passenger of the van, 62-year old Karrie Selner, of Edmonton, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner. Slater, Forsythe, and Jackson along with a passenger in his vehicle were transported to TJ Samson Community Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
