The Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce has announced a slew of fun Christmas Parade festivities that the entire family can enjoy in downtown Princeton on Saturday, December 10th.
Chamber President Heather Riley says they wanted to make this year’s parade special with an entire day of festivities which will kick off with Breakfast with Santa at 6:30 at the Tourism building.
click to download audioAt 11:30, the Chamber is sponsoring a Chili Cook-Off at the Tourism building with proceeds going to the HOPE & COPE Center. Riley says they still need participants and anyone wanting to sign up for the Chili Cook-Off can do so by sending an email to princetonkychamber@gmail.com or call her at (270) 625-5985.
click to download audioThere will also be cookie decorating with the kids in “Mrs. Claus Bakery” with all proceeds going to the HOPE & COPE Center.
Beginning at 1:00 that day, Santa will be in downtown with other festivities planned at the library and the Tin Roof.
click to download audioIn addition, Riley says there will be other activities going on in downtown beginning at 3:00 and leading up to the Christmas Parade at 5:00.
click to download audioThere will be popcorn in downtown that’s sponsored by Planters Bank along with carolers at the Caldwell County Courthouse.
click to download audioAnd there will be a snowball fight for the kids at the park and tables set up for the kids to make Christmas cards to be distributed to the local nursing homes.
click to download audioRiley says the 2022 Chamber Christmas Parade theme is “Merry Mischief”. It will begin at 5:00 with lineup for the parade to begin at 4:00 in the Butler Building parking lot. If you want to be in the parade, you can go to the Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce Facebook to find a link to fill out an entry form. She says you can mail the form to the Chamber or drop it off to her at the radio station.
Directly following the parade everyone is urged to gather at the courthouse where there will a moment of remembrance of the 2021 tornado that occurred one year ago.
