Mobile Work Zone For Pothole Patching in Livingston County on Thursday and Friday

Motorists need to be aware a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Livingston County Maintenance Crew plans a mobile work zone for pothole patching along U.S. 60 on Thursday and Friday.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd says the mobile pothole patching caravan plans to work all of U.S. 60 from the Ledbetter Bridge to the Livingston-Crittenden County Line at the 29-mile marker near Salem.
Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Todd indicates some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
According to Todd, recent extremely low temperatures combined with swings to temperatures in the 50s provided ideal conditions for potholes to form. While some recently paved sections of U.S. 60 through Livingston County have endured the temperature swings quite well, he says a significant number of potholes require attention.
Todd says additional area highway crews will be mounting pothole patching efforts as weather allows over the next week or two. He urges motorists to be alert for these wide-ranging mobile operations, as some pothole patching efforts may be difficult to schedule in advance.
