A Louisville man was arrested on a Lyon County warrant for being a fugitive from another state.
According to Sheriff Brent White, 28-year old Christopher Shonkwiler was taken into custody on a Lyon District Court complaint by Chief Deputy Sam Adams around 1:15 Friday afternoon. Shonkwiler is reportedly wanted in Wood County, Ohio for possession of Fentanyl.
Sheriff White indicates Shonkwiler faces extradition proceedings in the coming days to determine if he will be sent back to Ohio. Until then, he is lodged in the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex as a state inmate.
