Local Group Travels To Honor Smith

A charter bus filled with local residents departed from the Butler parking lot Saturday morning to travel to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
This group was joined by many others at Diddle Arena to honor, show respect and recognize local Dotson alumni Dwight Smith. Smith was a well know talented young man who was playing the game of basketball that he loved until a tragic accident cut his life short. His jersey was retired and hung for display during halftime of the game that afternoon. Tyler Beshear organized the bus trip to allow those who wanted to attend the ceremony but might not have a way to travel to the game.
