Man and Woman Injured in I-24 Wreck in Caldwell County

Two Missouri residents were flown to out-of-state hospitals after a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 24 in Caldwell County over the weekend.
Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman reports deputies were sent to the I-24 wreck near the 56-mile marker around 12:10 Saturday morning. An investigation by Deputy Kenny Vincent determined 23-year old Mickal Miller of Kansas City was driving eastbound on I-24 when she exited off the right side of the roadway, continued through the grass area and ditch and collided with the overpass bridge pier.
Deputy Vincent said Miller and her passenger, 23-year old Marvon Gordon, also of Kansas City, were both extricated from the vehicle by the Caldwell County Fire Department. Miller was flown from the scene by PHI Air Ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, and Gordon was flown from the scene by Vanderbilt Lifeflight to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
The sheriff’s office indicates the investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
Deputy Vincent was assisted on the scene by Caldwell County Fire/Rescue, Caldwell County EMS, PHI Air Ambulance, Vanderbilt Lifeflight and Wallace Towing and Recovery.
