New Name Unveiled For Caldwell County High School Greenhouse

The Caldwell County High School Greenhouse is being renamed as part of a rebranding effort by the local FFA Chapter and the Agriculture Department.
FFA Advisor and Ag teacher Magen Woods says they are renaming the greenhouse as part of a new marketing scheme.

click to download audioIn addition, Woods shared some upcoming events in March for the Caldwell County FFA Chapter, including a speaking contest in Lyon County.


click to download audioAnd she announced the greenhouse will open on April 10th and the following week FFA members will be attending the FFA Field Day in Murray.


click to download audioWoods says one of the great things about the high school’s agriculture program is they get to cover a large number of different aspects of agriculture. She points out they have four career paths in the ag department, two of those paths include Ag Power and Animal-Science.


click to download audioThe other two career paths are Horticulture, which includes the greenhouse and Ag Business.


click to download audioOne of the “cool things”, according to Woods, is the ag students are learning that farmers use “every single bit of everything they have.”
