A 19-year old Mayfield man was transported to a Paducah after a wreck on Interstate 69 in Lyon County over the weekend.
According to Sheriff Brent White, Deputy Aaron O’Leary responded to a single-vehicle collision on I-69 near the 70-mile marker shortly before 8:20 Saturday night.
Deputy O’Leary’s investigation reportedly revealed that 19-year old Mackenzie Davis was driving a Jeep southbound on I-69 when the vehicle ran off the roadway and entered the median before one of the vehicle’s tires failed causing the Jeep to overturn several times.
Davis was transported by Lyon County EMS to Mercy Health Hospital in Paducah for treatment of his injuries.
Deputy O’Leary was assisted on the scene by the Eddyville Fire Department and Eddyville Police Department.
