Hopkinsville Man Arrested After Leaving Scene Of Caldwell County Wreck

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on multiple charges after law enforcement say he left the scene of a wreck in Caldwell County Monday afternoon.
Sheriff Don Weedman says deputies were sent to Sandlick Road around 3:30 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident in which one vehicle had left the scene.
According to Sheriff Weedman, Deputy Steve Ladd conducted an investigation and determined 24-year old Bryan Lewis of Princeton was traveling north on Sandlick Road when an approaching vehicle crossed the center line and struck his vehicle. Lewis was treated on the scene by EMS and no passengers in his vehicle were reportedly injured.
Deputy Ladd located the vehicle that left the scene and the driver, 33-year old Jeffery Leonard, was taken into custody. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, operating on a suspended operator’s license, failure of owner to maintain required insurance 2nd offense, and no registration. Leonard was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
