Funeral services for 79-year old Lucian Gale Jewell, of Lyon County, will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Burial will follow in Millwood Cemetery in Caldwell County with full military honors.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lucian Jewell passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his home.
Lucian was born on December 30, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late Guy and Alice McAllister Jewell. Lucian proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after twenty-four years of service. Lucian then served eighteen years with the KY Department of Corrections. He enjoyed watching war movies, doing mechanic work and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Lucian was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Lucian is survived by four daughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Bryant of, Panama City, FL, Felicia (Karl) Jackell of, Panama City, FL, Margaret “Margie” Beitler of Eddyville, and Tammy (Freddie) Beers of Tennessee; three sons, Kennith (Amy) Argo of Dawson Springs, Joseph Conners of Colorado, and Jeff (Kathy) Mann of Bear Creek, AL; one sister, Patsy Ann Faughn of Caldwell County; five brothers, Robert “Bobby” (Mary) Jewell of Caldwell County, Billy Joe Jewell of Princeton, William “Duke” (Arlene) Jewell of IL, Earl (Debbie) Jewell of Caldwell County and Leonard Jewell of Trigg County; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lucian is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-three years, Nora Hicks Jewell; one brother, Kenneth Jewell; sister, Linda Sue Goodwin of Trigg County; and two granddaughters, Melissa Drish-Young and Falhon Beers.
