Three Juveniles And A Princeton Man Charged After Jumping On Moving Train

Three juveniles and an adult were charged after police say they jumped on a moving train in Princeton Saturday evening.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers responded to the area of Varmintrace Road and the P&L Railroad tracks for a report of trespassing shortly after 7:00 p.m. and made contact with three juveniles and 21-year old Colby Nichols. An investigation reportedly revealed that the juveniles and Nichols had trespassed and had jumped on the train while it was moving.
According to Allison, the three juveniles were charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and released to their parents. Nichols was taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 8:45 Saturday evening, Allison says officers responded to the jail after Nichols damaged some property. Nichols was also charged with first-degree criminal mischief after an investigation revealed that he became belligerent and destroyed over $2,000 worth of jail property.
