Air Quality Alert Issued for Trigg, Christian Counties

Wildfires in Canada continue to affect air quality in the United States and it’s creeping South by the minute.

click to download audioAs a result, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation has issued a Code Orange Health Advisory for the Clarksville area through midnight Tuesday that includes Trigg, Christian, Stewart, and Montgomery counties.
The general public is not likely to be affected but active children and adults, and people with a respiratory disease such as Asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.
Locally, weather Edge forecaster David Powell said you may be able to smell the smoke tonight and Tuesday.
He added the haze could keep the temperatures more in the seasonal range than hot.
