Dale Wayne Seats, age 66, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Seats was born on September 17, 1956, in Whittier, California to James T. Seats and Olivet M. Seats. He worked as a mariner on oil rigs as the chief engineer mechanic for many years. Additionally, he very much enjoyed gardening and working in his greenhouse raising magnolia trees. He was an accomplished “jack of all trades” and helped his family members and friends with electrical, mechanical, and carpentry projects.
Mr. Seats is survived by his companion for 36 years, Velma Hammons of Dawson Springs, KY; brother, Jerry R. Seats of Madisonville, KY; two sisters, Christie Simonds of Oklahoma and Dee A. Spicer of Nebraska; step son, Derek D. Hammons of Dawson Springs, KY; three step-grandchildren, Lily Hammons, Emily Hammons Menser and Kaytla Ebelhar; six step great-grandchildren, Derek B. Hammons, Aleyah Hammons, True Menser, Trenton Menser, Madi Ebelhar and Abi Ebelhar.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Mr. Dale Wayne Seats will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY; and, again on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Frisby officiating. Burial will follow at McNeely Cemetery.
