KYTC, Rogers Group Planning For Paving On U.S. 60

Contractors hired by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet have milling and paving plans for a section of U.S. 60/Sturgis Road east of Marion in Crittenden County — beginning Thursday, July 13.

The efforts run from near the 10-mile-marker just east of Fords Ferry Road intersection in the Curve-Inn Area of Marion, to the Mattoon community near the KY 365 intersection. It’s a distance covering more than 7.2 miles.
As such, motorists should be on alert for one-lane traffic, with alternating flow controlled by flaggers during daylight hours. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Rogers Group is the prime contractor on this $1.3 million highway improvement plan, which has a target completion date of August 3.
