Three Princeton Residents Indicted On Theft, Drug Possession Charges

Three Princeton residents were indicted on theft and drug charges during the August session of the Caldwell County Grand Jury.
38-year old Andrew Burks and Whitney Thatcher were both indicted on three counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, theft by unlawful taking under $500, and complicity of theft by unlawful taking $1,000 or more. Burks was also indicted on one count of first-degree persistent felony offender.
The pair were taken into custody in May after an investigation by Princeton Police into forged checks, which led them to burglaries involving two storage units, local businesses, and Baker’s Auto.
Detectives with the Princeton Police Department also discovered a stolen property that had been pawned in Paducah.
The grand jury also returned a true bill on 40-year old Steven Miles on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Miles was arrested in May after Princeton Police received a report of a suspicious person entering a hanger at the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport. Police said Miles was found inside one of the hangers and admitted to having meth in his pocket.
