Caldwell National Honor Society To Sponsor 5K For Breast Cancer Awareness

The Caldwell County High School National Honor Society will host a 5K run to support breast cancer awareness on Saturday, October 28.
Keegan Miller with the National Honor Society said they are trying to host community events again, following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taylor Wynn, also an NHS member, added this is a way for their Club to give back to the community.

Miller said those who participate will have their name entered for prizes to be given away during the event.

Wynn added they are taking sign-ups before the event, or you can register the day of and there will also be an option to participate in a 1-mile walk. Community members are also welcome to watch the activities and donate to show your support.

Zach East serves as the teacher advisor for the local National Honor Society chapter for his first year. He noted sometimes youth get a bad reputation, but he has found this group of students are caring and supportive of the community and want to make things better for all citizens.

The National Honor Society Warrior Run for Breast Cancer Awareness will again be held on Saturday, October 28, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Caldwell County High School Track. Additional details can be found here or by calling (270) 365-8010.
