Veterans were honored Saturday morning in front of the Caldwell County Courthouse. The local VFW Post organized the event with Post Commander Brian Perkins serving as the Master of Ceremonies.
Chaplin George Barber opened with prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by the homeschool Interact Club. As the National Anthem was being sung by Abby Duncan, traffic on Main Street came to a complete stop out of respect. County Judge Dakota Young was the speaker for the program.
